The Mayor of Milan Beppe Sala sent a message of good wishes, and afterwards the auditorium of the Campus hosted, on the occasion of the annual musical event that the Municipality 5 dedicates to schools, the Italian Rhythmic Symphony Orchestra, conducted by the virtuoso of the baton Maestro Diego Basso and with the extraordinary participation of the flutist Andrea Griminelli, the concert “Tribute to Ennio Morricone”.
Extract from the press release:
A project born also from listening to the children and young people who will inhabit it and who, to the question “how would you like your ideal school?” gave unexpected answers, all linked to a common desire: that the school lives on after the bell rings and really becomes a space for human experimentation, made of relationships, creative activities, movement and music. The new building, with the most advanced architecture and technology, will welcome the students of the Primary, Middle and High School classes from January 7, 2021, offering them an educational program designed to stimulate creativity and talent: in the Porta Romana area, Campus Symbiosis presents itself as an architectural complex that expresses all the Italian mastery and excellence in design and construction, but its flagship is certainly the educational model and teaching method it proposes.
Signed by the Milanese architectural firm Barreca & La Varra, authors of the award-winning Bosco Verticale, which oversaw the entire project from concept to interior design, the brand new Symbiosis Campus was born in a context of lively dialogue between Municipality 5, the Municipality of Milan, the Metropolitan City and Covivio. The construction site despite the health emergency has given shape to the project in just 14 months of work, carried out by Setten Genesio SpA (in association with Bouygues Energies & Services, Industry MTS s.r.l. and Metalsigma Tunesi Spa) and with General Works Management by SCE Project. ICS Symbiosis rises in an area undergoing a strong transformation, in a context of international dimension, becoming not an island, but a pole dedicated to change that will find its living humus in the contacts with the community of the territory and with the whole city.
