[TG4UB]
A catalog of prototypes and architectural typologies to consolidate and give a new shape to the urban structure of Mongolian cities.
concept - 2013
prototype (Mongolia)
[TG4UB] is characterized by a large and complex articulation that will allow local administrations to manage urban planning in the coming years through a series of architectural typologies measured on the new needs of the population.
The goal of the project is to provide – both to public administrations, at various levels, and to private operators – a catalog of possibilities to rationalize urban morphology and the habitat of large, medium and small cities that must respond to the new demand for housing : the Mongolian economy is rapidly evolving, as well as the challenges that society presents to the planning of the city. The basic housing module is called ger from the name of the traditional Mongolian houses: in addition to the structural modules, it is composed of basic components (doors, windows, service blocks) and optional components (pergolas, trees). The ger can be superimposed forming for example terraced houses. These elements can in turn compose a wide variety of urban morphologies.
