04/2022 - Barreca & La Varra reflect on the "power of creativity" with ICS Milan International School's Symbiosis Campus project
The IFI, International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers, asked Barreca & La Varra to answer the question: what do you think is the power of creativity inherent in the spirit of the times?
“Creativity is a power to be kept in check, just like the spirit of the times. We think of creativity as an ‘environment’ where ideas, analogies, memories are developed. But then this heritage has to be put to work in real conditions and it is then that, together with the suggestions of creativity, we have to adopt a specific focus on a concrete case, a place, a client, a precise condition. Creativity can be a discipline, the basis of a logical process that helps us understand what we are doing while we are doing it”. Barreca & La Varra
