Giovanni La Varra moderates “Reading the city in the dynamic past-present-future” at “Tempo di Libri”

Saturday, March 10th at 6:30 pm Giovanni La Varra presents the book “Amphitheatres and cities in the Cisalpina romana” by Stefano Maggi at the “International publishing fair 2018” in Fieramilanocity

A Roman amphitheater, a building for shows, served as an urban hinge between city and territory. Does it make sense to preserve an ancient monument in the contemporary city today? And how? The case of Milan, with its real and virtual “arenas”, discussed by architects and archaeologists.
