Social housing in via Hugo
The patios constitute the void cut into the unitary volume of the complex, which grants each residence external but collected and intimate spaces.

The matrix of the social housing project is a particular declination of the patio typology, so each apartment is guaranteed an intimate relationship with the outside.
It is a unitary building that draws in its own volume the living spaces and the necessary distances between the full buildings, in which the void is the element that holds together and measures the relationship of the masses and the system of relations. The building follows the “L” shaped lot, remaining within the boundary waterline of the building, articulated in the third dimension in a complex form. The building’s skin is composed of a hot-galvanized corrugated sheet lining, with a vertical orientation. To highlight the incision of the body, the east and west fronts are plastered and painted.
